TO 1997 ASSEMBLY BILL 660

AB660-SA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB660-SA1,1,2 21. Page 10, line 20: after that line insert:

AB660-SA1,1,4 3" Section 5m. 939.615 (3) (b) of the statutes, as created by 1997 Wisconsin Act
4.... (this act), is repealed and recreated to read:

AB660-SA1,1,65 939.615 (3) (b) If the person is sentenced to prison for the serious sex offense,
6upon his or her discharge from parole or extended supervision.".

AB660-SA1,1,7 72. Page 14, line 7: after that line insert:

AB660-SA1,1,8 8" Section 8m. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB660-SA1,1,9 9(1r) Reconciliation provision.

AB660-SA1,1,13 10(a) If 1997 Assembly Bill 351 is enacted into law and it creates sections 302.113
11and 973.01 of the statutes as shown by Senate Substitute Amendment 1 to 1997
12Assembly Bill 351, then the repeal and recreation by this act of section 939.615 (3)
13(b) of the statutes and Section 9g (1p) of this act take effect on December 31, 1999.

1(b) If the condition specified in paragraph (a) does not occur, then the repeal and
2recreation of section 939.615 (3) (b) of the statutes by this act and Section 9g (1p) of
3this act are void.".

AB660-SA1,2,6 5" Section 9g. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after
6publication, except as follows:

AB660-SA1,2,8 7(1p) The repeal and recreation of section 939.615 (3) (b) of the statutes takes
8effect on December 31, 1999.".
