AB735-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB735-AA2,1,2 1. Page 1, line 2: after "relating to:" insert "national guard tuition grants,".

AB735-AA2,1,3 2. Page 2, line 1: before that line insert:

AB735-AA2,1,5 " Section 1g. 21.49 (3) (a) of the statutes, as affected by 1997 Wisconsin Act 27, is amended to read:

AB735-AA2,1,10 21.49 (3) (a) Any eligible guard member upon satisfactory completion of a full-time or part-time course in a qualifying school is eligible for a tuition grant equal to 100% of the actual tuition and fees charged by the school or 100% of the maximum resident undergraduate tuition and fees charged by the university of Wisconsin-Madison for a comparable number of credits, whichever amount is less.".

AB735-AA2,1,11 3. Page 2, line 1: delete " Section 1" and substitute "Section 1m".

AB735-AA2,1,12 4. Page 3, line 18: after that line insert:

AB735-AA2,2,2 "(2) The treatment of section 21.49 (3) (a) of the statutes first applies to courses completed on the effective date of this subsection.".
