AB736-SA1-AA1,1,5 " Section 13g. 29.09 (11m) (a) (intro.) and (d) 2. of the statutes, as created by 1997 Wisconsin Act .... (Senate Bill 494), are amended to read:

AB736-SA1-AA1,1,10 29.09 (11m) Denial and revocation of approvals based on child support delinquency. (a) Social security numbers required. (intro.) The Except as provided in par. (e), the department shall require an applicant who is an individual to provide his or her social security number as a condition of applying for, or applying to renew, any of the following approvals:

AB736-SA1-AA1,2,3 (d) 2. As provided in the memorandum of understanding required under s. 49.857 (2) and except as provided in par. (e), the department shall deny an application to issue or renew an approval specified in par. (a) 1. to 3. if the applicant for or the holder of the approval fails to provide his or her social security number as required under par. (a).

AB736-SA1-AA1,2,10 29.09 (11m) (e) Refusal for religious reasons. The department may not require an applicant for an approval specified in par. (a) 1. to 3. to provide his or her social security number if the applicant refuses to provide his or her social security number for religious reasons. The department may not deny an application to issue or renew an approval on the basis of par. (a) if the applicant for or holder of the approval refuses to provide his or her social security number for religious reasons.".".
