AB768-ASA1-AA12,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:
AB768-ASA1-AA12,1,5 21. Page 14, line 16: after "program;" insert "requiring physicians to report
3injuries to, and deaths of, minors that they suspect are caused by articles intended
4for use by minors and requiring the secretary of agriculture, trade and consumer
5protection to publicize dangers created by such articles;".
AB768-ASA1-AA12,1,6 62. Page 249, line 10: after that line insert:
AB768-ASA1-AA12,1,7 7" Section 322bm. 93.25 of the statutes is created to read:
AB768-ASA1-AA12,1,11 893.25 Public notice. If the secretary determines that a consumer product, as
9defined in s. 100.42 (1) (c), that is intended for use by a minor creates an unreasonable
10risk of injury or imminent hazard to the public health, welfare or safety, the secretary
11shall ensure that adequate notice of that risk or hazard is given to the public.".

AB768-ASA1-AA12, s. 393m 4Section 393m. 146.995 (2m) of the statutes is created to read:
AB768-ASA1-AA12,2,105 146.995 (2m) Any physician who reasonably suspects that an injury to a minor
6whom the physician treats or the death of a minor was caused by a consumer product,
7as defined in s. 100.42 (1) (c), that is intended for use by a minor shall report the
8consumer product's name, any other identifying information and the type of injury
9or death involved as soon as reasonably possible to the department of agriculture,
10trade and consumer protection.
AB768-ASA1-AA12, s. 393qp 11Section 393qp. 146.995 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB768-ASA1-AA12,2,1612 146.995 (3) Any person reporting in good faith under sub. (2) or (2m), and any
13inpatient health care facility that employs the person who reports, are immune from
14all civil and criminal liability that may result because of the report. In any
15proceeding, the good faith of any person reporting under this section shall be
16presumed.".
