SB329-AA8,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB329-AA8,1,3 21. Page 1, line 4: after "fighters" insert "and creating an individual income tax
3deduction for insurance costs paid by certain municipal fire fighters".
SB329-AA8,1,4 42. Page 2, line 1: before that line insert:
SB329-AA8,1,5 5" Section 1e. 40.05 (1) (c) of the statutes is created to read:
SB329-AA8,1,116 40.05 (1) (c) Unless otherwise provided in a collective bargaining agreement
7entered into under subch. IV of ch. 111, any participating employe who is covered by
8the presumption under s. 891.455 shall pay his or her portion of any increased cost
9that his or her employer would have to pay under sub. (2) (ar), as a result of the
10presumption, as an employe contribution under this subsection. This amount shall
11be in addition to any amount paid under par. (a).".

1" Section 5m. 71.05 (6) (b) 27. of the statutes is created to read:

3insurance costs that are described under s. 40.05 (1) (c) that relate to the
4presumption under s. 891.455.".

SB329-AA8,2,13 7(1) The treatment of section 40.05 (1) (c) of the statutes first applies to
8municipal fire fighters who are covered by the presumption under section 891.455
9of the statutes, as created by this act, and who are affected by a collective bargaining
10agreement that contains provisions inconsistent with section 40.05 (1) (c) of the
11statutes, as created by this act, on the day on which the collective bargaining
12agreement expires or on the day on which the collective bargaining agreement is
13extended, modified or renewed, whichever first occurs.
SB329-AA8,2,19 14(2) The treatment of section 71.05 (6) (b) 27. of the statutes first applies to
15taxable years beginning on January 1 of the year in which a collective bargaining
16agreement that applies to municipal fire fighters who are covered by the
17presumption under section 891.455 of the statutes, as created by this act, expires or
18on the day on which the collective bargaining agreement is extended, modified or
19renewed, whichever first occurs.".
