SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 1997 SENATE BILL 362

SB362-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB362-SA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 17: after "payments;" insert "grants to runaway programs;".

SB362-SA1,1,3 2. Page 3, line 3: delete "an appropriation" and substitute "appropriations".

SB362-SA1,1,4 3. Page 11, line 20: after that line insert:

SB362-SA1,1,6 " Section 8r. 46.48 (27) of the statutes, as created by 1997 Wisconsin Act 27, is amended to read:

SB362-SA1,1,9 46.48 (27) Grants to runaway programs. The department shall distribute $100,000 in each fiscal year as grants to programs that provide services for runaways.".

SB362-SA1,1,10 4. Page 25, line 20: after that line insert:

SB362-SA1,2,3 "(3x) Grants to runaway programs. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of health and family services under section 20.435 (7) (bc) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 1997, the dollar amount is increased by $50,000 for fiscal year 1997-98 and the dollar amount is increased by $50,000 for fiscal year 1998-99 to increase funding for the distribution of grants to programs that provide services for runaways.".
