SB494-AA1,1,2 At the locations indicated, amend the bill, as shown by senate substitute amendment 2, as follows:

SB494-AA1,1,4 1. Page 6, line 20: delete "The" and substitute "Except as provided in s. 13.685 (8), the".

SB494-AA1,1,6 2. Page 7, line 16: after " and" insert ", except as authorized under s. 13.685 (8),".

SB494-AA1,1,7 3. Page 8, line 10: after that line insert:

SB494-AA1,1,8 " Section 3m. 13.685 (8) of the statutes is created to read:

SB494-AA1,2,2 13.685 (8) The board shall not require an applicant for a license under s. 13.63 (1) or a registrant who is an individual under s. 13.64 to provide his or her social security number if the applicant or other individual refuses to provide his or her social security number for religious reasons. The board shall not deny an application for a license under s. 13.63 (1) or refuse to accept or renew a registration under s. 13.64 because the applicant or registrant refuses to provide his or her social security number for religious reasons.".
