ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 4, TO 1999 ASSEMBLY BILL 234

AB234-AA4,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB234-AA4,1,2 1. Page 2, line 1: delete lines 1 to 7 and substitute:

AB234-AA4,1,3 " Section 1m. 20.855 (4) (gb) of the statutes is created to read:

AB234-AA4,1,7 20.855 (4) (gb) Election fund court fee supplement. All moneys received by the state treasurer from fees imposed under s. 814.632, to be transferred from the general fund to the supreme court account of the Wisconsin election campaign fund annually on February 15.".

AB234-AA4,1,8 2. Page 2, line 10: delete " (ba)" and substitute "(gb)".

AB234-AA4,1,9 3. Page 2, line 14: after that line insert:

AB234-AA4,1,10 " Section 2g. 59.25 (3) (u) of the statutes is created to read:

AB234-AA4,1,12 59.25 (3) (u) Pay to the state treasurer on his or her order the fees received under s. 814.632.

AB234-AA4, s. 2m Section 2m. 59.40 (2) (r) of the statutes is created to read:

AB234-AA4,2,3 59.40 (2) (r) Pay monthly to the treasurer for the use of the state the fees received under s. 814.632. The payments shall be made by the 15th day of the month following receipt of the payment.".

AB234-AA4,2,4 4. Page 2, line 15: delete lines 15 to 21.

AB234-AA4,2,5 5. Page 2, line 21: after that line insert:

AB234-AA4,2,6 " Section 3m. 814.632 of the statutes is created to read:

AB234-AA4,2,9 814.632 Fees for judge substitution. (1) The clerk of circuit court shall charge and collect a fee of $32 from each person who requests the substitution of a judge under s. 48.29, 345.315, 799.205, 800.05, 801.58, 938.29 or 971.20.

AB234-AA4,2,12 (2) The clerk shall pay the moneys collected under sub. (1) to the county treasurer under s. 59.40 (2) (r). The county treasurer shall pay the moneys to the state treasurer under s. 59.25 (3) (u).".

AB234-AA4,2,15 6. Page 3, line 2: delete the material beginning with "section" and ending with "commenced" on line 3 and substitute "sections 59.25 (3) (u), 59.40 (2) (r) and 814.632 of the statutes first applies to requests for substitutions filed".
