AB497-SSA1-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:
AB497-SSA1-AA1,1,2 21. Page 8, line 13: delete "(d)." and substitute "(c).".
AB497-SSA1-AA1,1,4 32. Page 8, line 18: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with
4page 9, line 20, and substitute:
AB497-SSA1-AA1,1,12 5"(b) Notwithstanding that the time limitation under sub. (1) has expired, if the
6state has evidence of a deoxyribonucleic acid profile of a person who committed a
7violation of s. 940.225 (1) or (2) but comparisons of the evidence to deoxyribonucleic
8acid profiles of known persons that were made before the time limitation under sub.
9(1) expired did not result in a probable identification of the person, a prosecution for
10the violation may be commenced within one year after a comparison of the
11deoxyribonucleic acid profile evidence relating to the violation results in a probable
12identification of the person.
