ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 10, TO ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 1999 ASSEMBLY BILL 51

AB51-ASA1-AA10,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB51-ASA1-AA10,1,3 1. Page 6, line 18: after "Each authority" insert "which is authorized to collect information under sub. (2m)".

AB51-ASA1-AA10,1,4 2. Page 6, line 23: after that line insert:

AB51-ASA1-AA10,1,7 "(2m) (a) No authority may require the submission of information relating to year 2000 processing under sub. (2) without authorization from the secretary of administration.

AB51-ASA1-AA10,1,10 (b) The secretary of administration may authorize an authority to collect information relating to year 2000 processing upon making a finding that it is necessary to protect public health and safety.

AB51-ASA1-AA10,2,4 (c) Each authority seeking authorization from the secretary of administration shall submit a written request to the department of administration specifying any entities from whom information is sought and showing how the collection of information relating to year 2000 processing by that authority is necessary to the exercise of the authority's regulatory power relating to protecting public health or safety.

AB51-ASA1-AA10,2,6 (d) The secretary of administration shall approve or disapprove each request submitted under par. (c) within 10 days of submittal of the request.".

AB51-ASA1-AA10,2,9 "(5) No authority may request information under sub. (2) after January 1, 2000.".
