ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 2, TO 1999 ASSEMBLY BILL 662

AB662-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB662-AA2,1,3 1. Page 1, line 2: delete "transaction fees for issuing fishing" and substitute "transaction fees and certain handling fees for issuing fish".

AB662-AA2,1,4 2. Page 2, line 1: before that line insert:

AB662-AA2,1,5 " Section 1b. 29.556 (2) (d) of the statutes is created to read:

AB662-AA2,1,8 29.556 (2) (d) If an agent appointed under s. 29.024 (6) (a) 2. or 3. collects a handling fee for in-person credit transaction costs from a person paying for one more more transaction fees imposed under s. 29.56, one of the following shall apply:

AB662-AA2,1,10 1. If the total amount of the transaction fees equals or exceeds the handling fee, the person shall pay the total amount of the transaction fees and no handling fee.

AB662-AA2,1,13 2. If the total amount of the transaction fees is less than the handling fee, the person shall pay the total amount of the transaction fees and a reduced handling fee. The total amount paid shall equal the amount of the full handling fee.".

AB662-AA2,2,1 3. Page 2, line 1: substitute "Section 1m" for " Section 1".
