AB662-ASA1,1,3 1An Act to amend 29.563 (14) (intro.); and to create 29.56 and 29.563 (14) (am)
2of the statutes; relating to: transaction fees for issuing fish and game
3approvals.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB662-ASA1, s. 1 4Section 1. 29.56 of the statutes is created to read:
AB662-ASA1,1,5 529.56 Transaction fee. (1) In this section:
AB662-ASA1,1,76 (a) Notwithstanding s. 29.001 (12), "approval" means a license, stamp or bonus
7deer hunting permit.
AB662-ASA1,1,108 (b) "Issuing agent" means a person who is appointed under s. 29.024 (6) (a) 2.
9or 3. or is contracted with under s. 29.024 (6) (a) 4. "Issuing agent" does not include
10the department or an employe of the department.
AB662-ASA1,2,6 11(2) In addition to any other fee imposed under s. 29.563, an issuing agent may
12collect a transaction fee for any approval that the issuing agent issues. An issuing

1agent may establish different transaction fees for different types of approvals. An
2issuing agent may increase, decrease or eliminate a fee that the issuing agent has
3established. No transaction fee established under this section may exceed $3. If a
4person is being issued more than one approval at one time, the issuing agent may
5collect only one transaction fee from that person. The issuing agent shall retain the
6entire transaction fee.

, is amended to read:

10(intro.) The fees for processing, handling, reserving reservation, transaction and
11issuing fees for approvals are as follows:
AB662-ASA1, s. 3 12Section 3. 29.563 (14) (am) of the statutes is created to read:
AB662-ASA1,2,1413 29.563 (14) (am) Transaction fee. Approvals subject to s. 29.56: the fee as
14established by the issuing agent under s. 29.56.
AB662-ASA1, s. 4 15Section 4. Initial applicability.
AB662-ASA1,2,1716 (1) This act first applies to licenses, stamps and bonus deer hunting permits
17that are applied for on the effective date of this subsection.
AB662-ASA1, s. 5 18Section 5. Effective date.
AB662-ASA1,2,2019 (1) This act takes effect on March 10, 2000, or on the day after publication,
20whichever is later.
