ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 3, TO 1999 ASSEMBLY BILL 664

AB664-AA3,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB664-AA3,1,3 1. Page 1, line 4: delete "handgun" and substitute "handgun, authorizing the department of justice to prosecute violations of certain laws regulating firearms".

AB664-AA3,1,4 2. Page 4, line 20: after that line insert:

AB664-AA3,1,5 " Section 5d. 175.35 (4) of the statutes is created to read:

AB664-AA3,1,11 175.35 (4) The department of justice or the district attorney may institute, manage, control and direct, in the proper county, a prosecution for violation of sub. (2e) that involves intentionally providing false information in response to the question specified in sub. (2g) (b) 1. When prosecuting such violations, the department of justice shall have and exercise all powers conferred upon district attorneys.".
