ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 1999 ASSEMBLY BILL 917

AB917-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB917-AA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 4: after "elements" insert "and requiring that the purchasers pay to the state a portion of the selling price of rereleased individual data elements".

AB917-AA1,1,4 2. Page 2, line 1: after that line insert:

AB917-AA1,1,5 " Section 1m. 153.45 (7) of the statutes is created to read:

AB917-AA1,1,9 153.45 (7) (a) Any person who purchases data from the department under this section who rereleases individual data elements of health care data files for valuable consideration shall make payment to the state treasurer, for deposit into the general fund, of 10% of any valuable consideration so received.

AB917-AA1,2,2 (b) Any person who purchases any individual data elements of health care data files from a person who purchased the individual data elements of health care data files from the department under par. (a) shall make payment to the department of 10% of any valuable consideration the person paid for the files. All moneys received under this paragraph shall be credited to the appropriation account under s. 20.435 (4) (a).".
