SB144-SA3,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB144-SA3,1,2 21. Page 2, line 5: delete lines 5 to 19 and substitute:
SB144-SA3,1,3 3" Section 2m. 101.123 (2) (ar) of the statutes is created to read:
SB144-SA3,1,64 101.123 (2) (ar) 1. Notwithstanding par. (a) and sub. (3) and except as provided
5in subd. 2., no person may smoke in the state capitol building or on the state capitol
6grounds.
SB144-SA3,1,97 2. Subdivision 1. does not apply to the governor's office, any office space that
8is assigned to a state senator or state representative to the assembly or any room that
9is kept by the attorney general, lieutenant governor or supreme court.
SB144-SA3, s. 3g 10Section 3g. 101.123 (4) (a) 1. of the statutes is amended to read:
SB144-SA3,2,211 101.123 (4) (a) 1. Except as provided in subd. subds. 2. and 2m., a person in
12charge or his or her agent may designate smoking areas in the places where smoking

1is regulated under sub. (2) (a) unless a fire marshal, law, ordinance or resolution
2prohibits smoking.
SB144-SA3, s. 3r 3Section 3r. 101.123 (4) (a) 2m. of the statutes is created to read:
SB144-SA3,2,74 101.123 (4) (a) 2m. A person in charge or his or her agent may not designate
5the entire state capitol building as a smoking area or designate any area where
6smoking is prohibited in the state capitol building under sub. (2) (ar) 1. as a smoking
7area.".
