SB60-SSA2-SA1,1,4 4(1m) Definitions. In this section:
SB60-SSA2-SA1,1,6 5(a) "Board" means the technology for educational achievement in Wisconsin
6board.
SB60-SSA2-SA1,1,8 7(b) "Educational agency" has the meaning given in section 44.70 (2g) of the
8statutes.
SB60-SSA2-SA1,1,10 9(c) "Telecommunications access program" means the program under section
1044.73 of the statutes.
SB60-SSA2-SA1,1,12 11(d) "Universal service fund" means the trust fund established under section
1225.95 of the statutes.

1(2m) Biennial budget request. Notwithstanding section 16.42 (1) of the
2statutes, the board shall submit, as part of its fiscal biennial budget request for the
32001-03 fiscal biennium, all of the following:
SB60-SSA2-SA1,2,5 4(a) Projections regarding the ultimate size of the telecommunications access
5program.
SB60-SSA2-SA1,2,8 6(b) Recommendations regarding how much funding required for the
7telecommunications access program should be drawn from universal service fund
8assessments.
SB60-SSA2-SA1,2,11 9(c) Recommendations regarding other funding sources to be utilized if the
10recommended assessment funding described in paragraph (b) is less than the total
11costs of the telecommunications access program.
SB60-SSA2-SA1,2,14 12(d) Recommendations regarding how long educational agencies should receive
13subsidies under the telecommunications access program and how best to administer
14the phase-out of the telecommunications access program.".
