AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA17,1,2 1. Page 82, line 10: delete lines 10 to 17.

AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA17,1,3 2. Page 156, line 20: delete lines 20 to 22.

AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA17,1,5 3. Page 293, line 19: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 295, line 10.

AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA17,1,6 4. Page 321, line 19: after that line insert:

AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA17,1,8 "(5dx) Annual salaries paid to state officers and nonrepresented state employees.

AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA17,2,2 (a) In this subsection, "nonrepresented state employee" means a state employee in the classified or unclassified service of the state whose position is not included in a collective bargaining unit for which a representative is recognized or certified under subchapter V of chapter 111 of the statutes.

AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA17,2,10 (b) Notwithstanding sections 20.923, 230.10, and 230.12 of the statutes and any action of the joint committee on employment relations relating to salary adjustments for any state officer or nonrepresented state employee, no state officer or nonrepresented state employee may receive an increase in salary over the rate paid to the officer or employee on the effective date of this paragraph for any period before January 1, 2004, unless the state officer or nonrepresented state employee is promoted or appointed to a position different from the position that the officer or employee held on the effective date of this paragraph.

AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA17,2,16 (c) Notwithstanding sections 20.923, 230.10, and 230.12 of the statutes and any action of the joint committee on employment relations relating to salary adjustments for any state officer or nonrepresented state employee, no person appointed to a state officer position or to a nonrepresented state employee position on or after the effective date of this paragraph, but before January 1, 2004, may receive a salary that is at a rate greater than the rate paid to his or her predecessor in that position.".
