AB1-ASA1-AA57,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:
AB1-ASA1-AA57,1,2 21. Page 352, line 12: after that line insert:
AB1-ASA1-AA57,1,3 3"(9c) Governor's blue ribbon task force on state governmental efficiency.
AB1-ASA1-AA57,1,6 4(a) There is created a special committee to be called the Governor's Blue Ribbon
5Task Force on State Governmental Efficiency, which shall consist of members
6appointed by the governor.
AB1-ASA1-AA57,1,8 7(b) The governor shall appoint or determine the method of selection of the
8officers of the task force and shall call the first meeting of the task force.
AB1-ASA1-AA57,1,10 9(c) The department of administration shall provide necessary administrative
10support services to the task force.
AB1-ASA1-AA57,2,2 11(d) The department of administration shall reimburse members of the task
12force for their actual and necessary expenses incurred in carrying out their functions

1from the appropriation under section 20.505 (4) (ba) of the statutes, within the
2budget of the task force authorized under section 16.40 (14) of the statutes.
AB1-ASA1-AA57,2,5 3(e) The task force shall identify overlapping or duplicative services or job duties
4in and between state agencies and recommend appropriate changes to maximize
5state governmental efficiency.
AB1-ASA1-AA57,2,9 6(f) The task force shall report its findings and recommendations to the
7governor, and to the legislature in the manner provided in section 13.172 (2) of the
8statutes, no later than January 6, 2003. Upon submittal of its report, the task force
9ceases to exist.".
