ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 2001 ASSEMBLY BILL 36

AB36-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB36-AA1,1,4 1. Page 1, line 1: after "program" insert ", prohibiting the department of health and family services from requiring that an individual be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for health care coverage under the badger care health care program,".

AB36-AA1,1,5 2. Page 1, line 3: delete that line and substitute:

AB36-AA1,1,6 " Section 1d. 49.665 (4) (a) 4. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB36-AA1,1,10 49.665 (4) (a) 4. The family meets all other requirements established by the department by rule. In establishing other eligibility criteria, the department may not include any health condition requirements or require that an individual or any member of the individual's family be a U.S. citizen.

AB36-AA1, s. 1g Section 1g. 49.665 (4) (am) 4. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB36-AA1,2,2 49.665 (4) (am) 4. The child meets all other requirements established by the department by rule. In establishing other eligibility criteria, the department may not include any health condition requirements or require that an individual or any member of the individual's family be a U.S. citizen.
