AB374-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB374-AA1,1,3 21. Page 1, line 4: delete "organs or" and substitute "organs for
3transplantation,".
AB374-AA1,1,5 42. Page 1, line 5: before the period insert ", or medical devices, medical
5equipment, or medication for emergency purposes".
AB374-AA1,1,6 63. Page 2, line 14: after that line insert:
AB374-AA1,1,7 7" Section 2g. 340.01 (3) (dh) of the statutes is created to read:
AB374-AA1,2,28 340.01 (3) (dh) Privately owned motor vehicles being operated in the course of
9a business and being used, in response to an emergency call from a treating physician
10or his or her designee declaring the transportation to be an emergency, to transport
11medical devices or equipment to a hospital or ambulatory surgery center, or to pick
12up medical devices or equipment for immediate transportation to a hospital or
13ambulatory surgery center, if the medical devices or equipment are to be used for

1human implantation or for urgent medical treatment immediately after the
2transportation.
AB374-AA1, s. 2h 3Section 2h. 340.01 (3) (di) of the statutes is created to read:
AB374-AA1,2,74 340.01 (3) (di) Privately owned motor vehicles being used to transport
5prescription medication to a person in response to an emergency call from the
6physician who prescribed the medication or his or her designee declaring the
7transportation of the medication to be an emergency.".
AB374-AA1,2,9 84. Page 3, line 9: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with
9page 5, line 4, and substitute:
AB374-AA1,2,10 10" Section 6m. 347.25 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB374-AA1,3,611 347.25 (1) Except as provided in subs. (1m) (a), (1r) , and (1s), an authorized
12emergency vehicle may be equipped with one or more flashing, oscillating , or
13rotating red lights, except that ambulances, fire department equipment, and
14privately owned motor vehicles under s. 340.01 (3) (d) or (dm) being used by
15personnel of a full-time or part-time fire department or by members of a volunteer
16fire department or rescue squad, privately owned motor vehicles under s. 340.01 (3)
17(dg) being used by an organ procurement organization or any person under an
18agreement with an organ procurement organization, and privately owned motor
19vehicles under s. 340.01 (3) (dh) or (di) being used to transport medical devices or
20equipment or prescription medication,
may be equipped with red or red and white
21lights, and shall be so equipped when the operator thereof is exercising the privileges
22granted by s. 346.03. The lights shall be so designed and mounted as to be plainly
23visible and understandable from a distance of 500 feet both during normal sunlight
24and during hours of darkness. No operator of an authorized emergency vehicle may

1use the warning lights except when responding to an emergency call or when in
2pursuit of an actual or suspected violator of the law, when responding to but not upon
3returning from a fire alarm, when transporting an organ for human transplantation,
4when transporting medical personnel for the purpose of performing human organ
5harvesting or transplantation immediately after the transportation,
or when
6necessarily parked in a position which is likely to be hazardous to traffic.".
