AB374-AA3,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB374-AA3,1,3 21. Page 3, line 9: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with
3page 5, line 4, and substitute:
AB374-AA3,1,4 4" Section 9m. 347.25 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB374-AA3,2,95 347.25 (1) Except as provided in subs. (1m) (a), (1r) , and (1s), an authorized
6emergency vehicle may be equipped with one or more flashing, oscillating , or
7rotating red lights, except that ambulances, fire department equipment, and
8privately owned motor vehicles under s. 340.01 (3) (d), (dg), or (dm) being used by
9personnel of a full-time or part-time fire department or , by members of a volunteer
10fire department or rescue squad, or by an organ procurement organization or any
11person under an agreement with an organ procurement organization,
may be
12equipped with red or red and white lights, and shall be so equipped when the operator
13thereof is exercising the privileges granted by s. 346.03. The lights shall be so

1designed and mounted as to be plainly visible and understandable from a distance
2of 500 feet both during normal sunlight and during hours of darkness. No operator
3of an authorized emergency vehicle may use the warning lights except when
4responding to an emergency call or when in pursuit of an actual or suspected violator
5of the law, when responding to but not upon returning from a fire alarm, when
6transporting an organ for human transplantation, when transporting medical
7personnel for the purpose of performing human organ harvesting or transplantation
8immediately after the transportation,
or when necessarily parked in a position which
9is likely to be hazardous to traffic.".
