AB49-AA4,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB49-AA4,1,2 21. Page 7, line 22: after that line insert:
AB49-AA4,1,13 3"(4d) Polling hours. The elections board shall prepare recommendations with
4regard to expanding the polling hours for elections held in this state so that the polls
5are open during regular business hours for a specified number of days before election
6day and are open as provided under current law on election day. In addition, the
7recommendations shall address allowing any elector who joins a line at a polling
8place on election day after the time specified for closing of the polls to vote in that
9election. No later than the first day of the 7th month beginning after the effective
10date of this subsection, the elections board shall submit the recommendations to the
11chief clerk of each house of the legislature for distribution to the appropriate
12standing committees of the legislature in the manner provided under section 13.172
13(3) of the statutes.

1(4e) Internet voting. The elections board shall prepare recommendations with
2regard to permitting electors to use the Internet to vote in elections held in this state.
3No later than the first day of the 7th month beginning after the effective date of this
4subsection, the elections board shall submit the recommendations to the chief clerk
5of each house of the legislature for distribution to the appropriate standing
6committees of the legislature in the manner provided under section 13.172 (3) of the
7statutes.".
