AB826-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB826-AA1,1,5 21. Page 12, line 7: delete "state" and substitute "county served by the polling
3place at which the inspector performs duties, or, if the polling place serves more than
4one county, shall be a qualified elector of one of the counties served by the polling
5place
".
AB826-AA1,1,6 62. Page 13, line 10: after that line insert:
AB826-AA1,1,7 7" Section 12m. 7.30 (2) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB826-AA1,2,48 7.30 (2) (b) When a vacancy occurs, the vacancy shall be filled by appointment
9of the municipal clerk. The vacancy shall be filled from the remaining names on the
10lists submitted under sub. (4) or from additional names submitted by the chairperson
11of the county party committee of the appropriate party under sub. (4) whenever
12names are submitted under sub. (4) (d). If the vacancy is due to candidacy, sickness
13or any other temporary cause, the appointment shall be a temporary appointment

1and effective only for the election at which the temporary vacancy occurs. The same
2qualifications shall be required of persons who fill vacancies. Vacancies may be filled
3in cases of emergency or because of time limitations by a person from another
4aldermanic district or ward within the municipality.
