SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2001 ASSEMBLY JOINT RESOLUTION 55

AJR55-SSA1,1,2 Relating to: creating a committee of conference on 2001 Senate Bill 55, the executive budget bill of the 2001 legislature.

AJR55-SSA1,1,8 Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That, upon the adoption of this joint resolution by the assembly and concurrence therein by the senate and notwithstanding joint rule 3, there is created a committee of conference on 2001 Senate Bill 55, relating to state finances and appropriations, constituting the executive budget bill of the 2001 legislature, to reconcile the differences between the 2 houses, and to present its report on the bill to the 2 houses; and, be it further

AJR55-SSA1,1,11 Resolved, That, notwithstanding joint rule 3, the committee of conference shall consist of 3 members of the majority party and one member of the minority party from each house; and, be it further

AJR55-SSA1,1,12 Resolved, That:

AJR55-SSA1,2,5 (1) The committee of conference shall be a "limited conference," with the authority of the members of the committee limited to reconciling the differences in the positions of the 2 houses as reflected by the proposal, as introduced, the proposal as engrossed by the first house, and the proposal, as concurred in and amended by the 2nd house, with the position of the joint committee on finance, as reflected by senate substitute amendment 1 to the proposal offered by the joint committee on finance.

AJR55-SSA1,2,8 (2) Neither house may consider a report if it contains an agreement that recommends the approval of and concurrence in any issue not authorized under sub. (1).
