ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 15, TO 2001 ASSEMBLY RESOLUTION 3

AR3-AA15,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the resolution as follows:

AR3-AA15,1,2 1. Page 36, line 15: after that line insert:

AR3-AA15,1,3 " Section 50d. Assembly rule 48 (3) is created to read:

AR3-AA15,1,7 Assembly Rule 48 (3) All questions of passage, concurrence, and adoption of a proposal that is required by statute or rule to be referred to the joint survey committee on tax exemptions are decided by a two-thirds majority vote of a quorum.".

AR3-AA15,1,8 2. Page 43, line 1: delete lines 1 and 2 and substitute:

AR3-AA15,1,13 "(7) Appeals are debatable and shall be, except for appeals relating to passage, concurrence, or adoption, are decided by a majority of the members present and voting on a roll call vote. Appeals relating to passage, concurrence, or adoption are decided by a two-thirds majority of the members present and voting on a roll call vote. The presiding officer may vote on appeals.".

AR3-AA15,2,2 " Section 84m. Assembly rule 89 (intro.) is amended to read:

AR3-AA15,2,5 Assembly Rule 89. Changing assembly rules. (intro.) Assembly rules may be rescinded or changed only with the approval of a majority two-thirds of the current membership by roll call vote.".
