SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2001 SENATE BILL 150

SB150-SSA1,1,2 An Act to amend 71.10 (3) (a) of the statutes; relating to: the election campaign fund designation on individual income tax returns.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SB150-SSA1, s. 1 Section 1. 71.10 (3) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB150-SSA1,1,8 71.10 (3) (a) Every individual filing an income tax return who has a tax liability or is entitled to a tax refund may designate $1, $2, $3, $4, or $5 for the Wisconsin election campaign fund for the use of eligible candidates under s. 11.50. If the individuals filing a joint return have a tax liability or are entitled to a tax refund, each individual may make a designation of $1, $2, $3, $4, or $5 under this subsection.

SB150-SSA1, s. 2 Section 2. Initial applicability.

SB150-SSA1,2,2 (1) This act first applies to taxable years beginning on January 1 of the year in which this subsection takes effect, except that if this subsection takes effect after July 31 this act first applies to taxable years beginning on January 1 of the year following the year in which this subsection takes effect.
