SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2001 SENATE BILL 208

SB208-SSA1,1,2 An Act to create 77.54 (46) of the statutes; relating to: a sales tax and use tax exemption for energy-efficient motor vehicles.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SB208-SSA1, s. 1 Section 1. 77.54 (46) of the statutes is created to read:

SB208-SSA1,1,6 77.54 (46) The gross receipts from the sale of and the storage, use, or other consumption of a motor vehicle, licensed for highway use, that uses any of the following as a fuel to propel the motor vehicle:

SB208-SSA1,1,7 (a) A mixture consisting of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline.

SB208-SSA1,1,8 (b) A mixture consisting of 95% ethanol and 5% gasoline.

SB208-SSA1,1,9 (c) A mixture consisting of 85% methanol and 15% gasoline.

SB208-SSA1,1,10 (d) Methanol.

SB208-SSA1,1,11 (e) Electricity.

SB208-SSA1,1,12 (f) Compressed natural gas.

SB208-SSA1,2,1 (g) Liquified natural gas.

SB208-SSA1,2,2 (h) Propane.

SB208-SSA1, s. 2 Section 2. Effective date.

SB208-SSA1,2,5 (1) This act takes effect on the first day of the 2nd month beginning after publication.
