AB114-SA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB114-SA1,1,2 21. Page 1, line 4: delete lines 4 and 5.
AB114-SA1,1,3 32. Page 2, line 1: delete lines 1 to 4 and substitute:
AB114-SA1,1,4 4" Section 1g. 6.78 of the statutes is amended to read:
AB114-SA1,1,65 6.78 (1) In all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class cities, and in 4th class cities, villages, and
6towns having a population of more than 8,000,
from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
AB114-SA1, s. 1r 7Section 1r. 6.78 (2) of the statutes is amended to read:

, from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.; extendable by the governing body to not earlier than
107 a.m. Notice of the change of hours shall be given by publication in a newspaper,
11under ch. 985, once each week for 2 successive weeks, with the first insertion not less
12than 8 days before the election. The new hours shall take effect only after the notice

1provisions have been complied with. When the ordinance applies to all future
2elections, notice need be given only for the first election affected by the change.".

AB114-SA1,2,11 65. Page 2, line 17: delete the material beginning with "Election" and ending
7with "7 a.m." on line 21, and substitute "Election hours set by the governing body of
8the special purpose district for each polling place shall be the same as those provided
9by law or by the governing body of the municipality in which the polling place is
10located, except that if the opening hour is later than 7 a.m., the governing body of the
11special purpose district may extend the opening hour to not earlier than 7 a.m.".

AB114-SA1,2,18 147. Page 3, line 9: delete the material beginning with "Election" and ending
15with "7 a.m." on line 12, and substitute "Election hours set by the school board shall
16be the same as those provided by law or by the municipal governing body in which
17the polling place is located, except that if the opening hour is later than 7 a.m., the
18school board may extend the opening hour to not earlier than 7 a.m.".
