AB206-AA2,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB206-AA2,1,3 21. Page 2, line 14: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with
3page 5, line 2 and substitute:
AB206-AA2,1,4 4" Section 2m. 941.375 of the statutes is created to read:
AB206-AA2,1,6 5941.375 Throwing or discharging bodily fluids at public safety
6workers.
(1) In this section:
AB206-AA2,1,77 (a) "Ambulance" has the meaning specified in s. 146.50 (1) (am).
AB206-AA2,1,108 (b) "Public safety worker" means an emergency medical technician licensed
9under s. 146.50, a first responder certified under s. 146.50 (8), a peace officer, a fire
10fighter, or a person operating or staffing an ambulance.
AB206-AA2,1,13 11(2) Any person who throws or expels blood, semen, vomit, saliva, urine, feces,
12or other bodily substance at or toward a public safety worker under all of the
13following circumstances is guilty of a Class I felony:
AB206-AA2,2,3
1(a) The person throws or expels the blood, semen, vomit, saliva, urine, feces,
2or other bodily substance with the intent that it come into contact with the public
3safety worker.
AB206-AA2,2,64 (b) The person throws or expels the blood, semen, vomit, saliva, urine, feces,
5or other bodily substance with the intent to cause bodily harm to the public safety
6worker.
AB206-AA2,2,97 (c) The public safety worker does not consent to the blood, semen, vomit, saliva,
8urine, feces, or other bodily substance being thrown or expelled at or toward him or
9her.".
