AB388-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB388-AA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 5: delete "The department" and substitute "(1) The department".

AB388-AA1,1,4 2. Page 1, line 5: after "and" insert ", subject to sub. (2),".

AB388-AA1,1,5 3. Page 2, line 2: after that line insert:

AB388-AA1,1,12 "(2) Upon receipt of sufficient contributions from interested parties, including any county, city, village, or town, to cover the costs of erecting and maintaining markers at the bridge specified in sub. (1) to clearly identify to motorists the designation of the bridge as "Freedoms Bridge," the department shall erect and maintain the markers. No state funds, other than from the receipt of contributions under this subsection, may be expended for the erection or maintenance of the markers.".
