ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 3, TO 2003 ASSEMBLY BILL 475

AB475-AA3,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB475-AA3,1,3 1. Page 3, line 7: after "man" insert "who has not been divorced 3 or more times".

AB475-AA3,1,5 2. Page 3, line 7: after " woman" insert "who has not been divorced 3 or more times".

AB475-AA3,1,6 3. Page 3, line 13: after that line insert:

AB475-AA3,1,7 " Section 3m. 765.03 (3) of the statutes is created to read:

AB475-AA3,1,9 765.03 (3) No person who has been divorced, in this state or elsewhere, 3 or more times may marry again.".

AB475-AA3,1,10 4. Page 3, line 18: after that line insert:

AB475-AA3,1,11 " Section 6m. Initial applicability.

AB475-AA3,2,2 (1) Marriage prohibited based on divorce. The renumbering and amendment of section 765.01 and the creation of section 765.03 (3) of the statutes first applies to marriages for which application for a license is made on the effective date of this subsection.".
