ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2003 ASSEMBLY BILL 543

AB543-ASA1-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB543-ASA1-AA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 3: after "compensation" insert "and notice of certain public meetings by certain bodies within the University of Wisconsin System".

AB543-ASA1-AA1,1,4 2. Page 1, line 4: before that line insert:

AB543-ASA1-AA1,1,5 " Section 1. 19.84 (5) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB543-ASA1-AA1,1,12 19.84 (5) Departments and their subunits in any University of Wisconsin System institution or campus and a nonprofit corporation operating the Olympic Ice Training Center under s. 42.11 (3) are exempt from the requirements of subs. (1) to (4) but shall provide meeting notice which is reasonably likely to apprise interested persons, and news media who have filed written requests for such notice. This subsection does not apply to any meeting at which the subject of charter schools under s. 118.40 (2r) is discussed.".

AB543-ASA1-AA1,2,1 3. Page 1, line 4: delete " Section 1" and substitute "Section 2".
