AB938-ASA1-AA2,1,3 21. Page 1, line 3: after "districts," insert "reorganization of insolvent school
3districts,".
AB938-ASA1-AA2,1,4 42. Page 3, line 2: after that line insert:
AB938-ASA1-AA2,1,5 5"(3m) No aid may be paid under this section after June 30, 2009.".
AB938-ASA1-AA2,1,6 63. Page 3, line 4: after that line insert:
AB938-ASA1-AA2,1,7 7" Section 4m. 117.37 of the statutes is created to read:
AB938-ASA1-AA2,1,11 8117.37 Insolvent school districts. (1) By June 30, 2007, the school board
9of a school district that satisfies all of the following criteria shall submit to the
10legislative audit bureau information sufficient for the bureau to determine the
11solvency of the school district:
AB938-ASA1-AA2,2,3
1(a) The school district's membership used to calculate aid under s. 121.15 (4)
2(b) in the 2000-01 and the 2003-04 school years declined more than 12 percent
3between those school years.
AB938-ASA1-AA2,2,44 (b) The school district is at least 475 square miles in area.
AB938-ASA1-AA2,2,10 5(2) Within 90 days after receiving the information under sub. (1), the legislative
6audit bureau shall determine whether the school district is financially solvent. If the
7bureau determines that the school district is insolvent, within 60 days after the
8determination the school board shall adopt a resolution ordering the consolidation
9of the school district with one or more other school districts under s. 117.08 or 117.09
10or the dissolution of the school district under s. 117.10.".
