AB94-ASA1,1,2 An Act to amend 118.33 (1) (a) 1. of the statutes; relating to: requiring that courses in high school mathematics include instruction in personal finance.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB94-ASA1, s. 1 Section 1. 118.33 (1) (a) 1. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB94-ASA1,1,7 118.33 (1) (a) 1. In the high school grades, at least 4 credits of English including writing composition, 3 credits of social studies including state and local government, 2 credits of mathematics including instruction in personal finance, 2 credits of science and 1.5 credits of physical education.

AB94-ASA1, s. 2 Section 2. Initial applicability.

AB94-ASA1,1,9 (1) This act first applies to pupils graduating from high school in May 2008.
