SENATE AMENDMENT 40, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 2, TO 2003 SENATE BILL 214

SB214-SSA2-SA40,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB214-SSA2-SA40,1,3 1. Page 2, line 2: delete "and providing penalties" and substitute "providing penalties, and making an appropriation".

SB214-SSA2-SA40,1,4 2. Page 2, line 3: before that line insert:

SB214-SSA2-SA40,1,5 " Section 1c. 20.455 (2) (bx) of the statutes is created to read:

SB214-SSA2-SA40,1,8 20.455 (2) (bx) Reimbursement of certain costs incurred by counties in licensing the carrying of a concealed weapon. A sum sufficient to pay counties the costs certified under s. 175.50 (19m).".

SB214-SSA2-SA40,1,9 3. Page 2, line 3: delete " Section 1" and substitute "Section 1m".

SB214-SSA2-SA40,1,10 4. Page 40, line 19: after that line insert:

SB214-SSA2-SA40,2,4 "(19m) Reimbursement of certain county costs. Annually, any county that has incurred costs relating to the issuance or renewal of licenses under this section shall certify to the department of justice the amount of those costs that are not covered by any fees paid to the county under s. 175.50 (7) (bd), (13), or (15) (b) 4. a. No later than 60 days after receiving the certification, the department of justice shall reimburse the county for the certified costs.".
