SENATE AMENDMENT 51, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 2, TO 2003 SENATE BILL 214

SB214-SSA2-SA51,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB214-SSA2-SA51,1,2 1. Page 8, line 22: after that line insert:

SB214-SSA2-SA51,1,6 "(ae) "Brandish" means to intentionally remove a concealed weapon from a holster or sheath in the presence of another individual, regardless of whether the weapon remains concealed, or to intentionally engage in any action that makes a concealed weapon clearly visible to another individual.".

SB214-SSA2-SA51,1,7 2. Page 9, line 1: after that line insert:

SB214-SSA2-SA51,1,11 "(ak) "Display," with respect to a license issued under this section or an out-of-state authorization, includes permitting the person to whom the license or out-of-state authorization is displayed to write down the name and the license or permit number that are on the license or out-of-state authorization.".

SB214-SSA2-SA51,2,1 4. Page 12, line 23: after that line insert:

SB214-SSA2-SA51,2,5 "(d) If a licensee or an out-of-state licensee brandishes a concealed weapon that he or she is carrying, the licensee or out-of-state licensee shall display his or her license or out-of-state authorization to any person present, upon that person's request.".

SB214-SSA2-SA51,2,9 "(am) A licensee or an out-of-state licensee who intentionally violates sub. (2g) (d) may be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned for not more than 90 days or both.".
