SB44-AA47,1,21 At the locations indicated, amend the bill, as shown by senate substitute

SB44-AA47,1,3 31. Page 419, line 17: after that line insert:
SB44-AA47,1,4 4" Section 875c. 29.335 of the statutes is repealed and recreated to read:
SB44-AA47,1,6 529.335 Feeding wild animals. (1) In this section, "feed wild animals" means
6to place any material to feed or attract wild animals in or from the wild.
SB44-AA47,1,8 7(2) Except as provided under sub. (3), the department may not prohibit any
8person from feeding wild animals.
SB44-AA47,1,9 9(3) No person may do any of the following:
SB44-AA47,1,1110 (a) Feed wild animals in a chronic wasting disease eradication zone designated
11by the department under s. 29.063 (2).
SB44-AA47,1,1312 (b) Feed wild animals within 100 yards of a highway having a posted speed
13limit of at least 45 miles per hour.

1(c) If the department designates an area as a chronic wasting disease intensive
2harvest zone on or after the effective date of this paragraph .... [revisor inserts date],
3feed wild animals in that area.
SB44-AA47,2,64 (d) If the department designates an area as a chronic wasting disease
5management zone on or after the effective date of this paragraph .... [revisor inserts
6date], feed wild animals in that area.
SB44-AA47,2,87 (e) If the feeding of wild animals is for hunting purposes, place more than 2
8gallons of material daily to feed wild animals in a 40-acre area.
SB44-AA47,2,109 (f) If the feeding of wild animals is for nonhunting purposes, do any of the
10following:
SB44-AA47,2,1111 1. Feed wild animals in any area of this state that is located south of USH 54.
SB44-AA47,2,1412 2. Feed wild animals beyond 100 yards of the person's permanent or seasonal
13residence or beyond 100 yards of the person's business, if the business is one that is
14generally open to the public.
SB44-AA47,2,20 15(4) If the department promulgates a rule that designates an area as a chronic
16wasting disease intensive harvest zone or management zone on or after the effective
17date of this subsection .... [revisor inserts date], the department shall publish a class
181 notice of the rule under ch. 985 in a newspaper likely to give notice in the area where
19the rule applies. The department may not enforce the prohibition under sub. (3) (c)
20or (d) before the 4th day beginning after publication of the rule.".
