SENATE AMENDMENT 33, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2003 SENATE BILL 44

SB44-SSA1-SA33,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB44-SSA1-SA33,1,4 1. Page 211, line 15: increase the dollar amount for fiscal year 2003-04 by $750,000 and increase the dollar amount for fiscal year 2004-05 by $750,000 to increase funding for literacy grants.

SB44-SSA1-SA33,1,5 2. Page 510, line 4: delete lines 4 to 11 and substitute:

SB44-SSA1-SA33,1,9 "49.169 (2) The department shall award not more than $1,404,100 $750,000 per fiscal year in grants to qualified applicants for the provision of literacy training to individuals who are eligible for temporary assistance for needy families under 42 USC 601 et. et seq.".

SB44-SSA1-SA33,1,10 3. Page 513, line 10: delete that line and substitute:

SB44-SSA1-SA33,1,11 " Section 1270c. 49.175 (1) (y) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB44-SSA1-SA33,2,3 49.175 (1) (y) Literacy initiative grants. For literacy grants under s. 49.169 and literacy services administered by the governor's office, $1,425,800 , $750,000 in fiscal year 2001-02 2003-04 and $800,000 $750,000 in fiscal year 2002-03 2004-05.".
