SENATE AMENDMENT 47, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2003 SENATE BILL 44

SB44-SSA1-SA47,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB44-SSA1-SA47,1,4 1. Page 214, line 13: decrease the dollar amount for fiscal year 2003-04 by $50,000 and decrease the dollar amount for fiscal year 2004-05 by $50,000 to decrease funding for the hotline for reporting dangerous weapons in schools.

SB44-SSA1-SA47,1,5 2. Page 839, line 21: after that line insert:

SB44-SSA1-SA47,1,6 " Section 2099xd. 165.72 (title) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB44-SSA1-SA47,1,8 165.72 (title) Dangerous weapons in public schools and controlled Controlled substances hotline and rewards for controlled substances tips.

SB44-SSA1-SA47, s. 2099xg Section 2099xg. 165.72 (1) (ad) of the statutes is repealed.

SB44-SSA1-SA47, s. 2099xm Section 2099xm. 165.72 (2) (c) of the statutes is repealed.

SB44-SSA1-SA47, s. 2099xs Section 2099xs. 165.72 (2g) of the statutes is repealed.

SB44-SSA1-SA47, s. 2099xx Section 2099xx. 165.72 (2m) of the statutes is repealed.

SB44-SSA1-SA47, s. 2099xz Section 2099xz. 165.72 (7) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB44-SSA1-SA47,2,7 165.72 (7) Publicity. From the appropriation under s. 20.455 (2) (a), the department shall purchase public information and promotion services regarding the toll-free telephone number under sub. (2). The department and any agency providing publicity services under this subsection shall cooperate with the department of public instruction in publicizing, in public schools, the use of the toll-free telephone number under sub. (2).".

SB44-SSA1-SA47,2,12 "(1x) Notice to schools regarding end of toll-free weapons hotline program. The department of justice shall notify all school districts, by electronic mail or any other appropriate means, that the department no longer operates a hotline for persons to report dangerous weapons in public schools.".
