SB44-SSA1-SA53,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB44-SSA1-SA53,1,2 1. Page 3, line 1: before that line insert:

SB44-SSA1-SA53,1,3 " Section 2f. 4.001 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB44-SSA1-SA53,1,9 4.001 (1) Based on the certified official results of the 1980 census of population of Wisconsin, as received by this state from the U.S. bureau of the census on March 23, 1981, under P.L. 94-171, the The state is divided into 33 22 senate districts , each composed of 3 assembly districts. Each senate district shall be entitled to elect one member of the senate. Each assembly district shall be entitled to elect one representative to the assembly.

SB44-SSA1-SA53, s. 2m Section 2m. 4.001 (2) of the statutes is repealed.".

The treatment of sections 4.001 (1) and 13.01 of the statutes first applies to the legislature chosen on the Tuesday succeeding the first Monday of November, 2006; to the election to that legislature on that date; and to the apportioning and districting anew of the legislative districts for that election.".
