SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2003 SENATE BILL 51

SB51-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB51-SA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 1: before that line insert:

SB51-SA1,1,4 " Section 1g. 343.10 (1) (a) of the statutes, as affected by 2003 Wisconsin Act .... (Assembly Bill 232), is amended to read:

SB51-SA1,2,2 343.10 (1) (a) If a person's license or operating privilege is revoked or suspended under this chapter or s. 345.47 (1) (b), 767.303, 800.09 (1) (c), 800.095 (4) (b) 4., 943.21 (3m), or 961.50 and if the person is engaged in an occupation, including homemaking or full-time or part-time study, or a trade making it essential that he or she operate a motor vehicle, the person, after payment of the fee provided in sub. (6), may file an application with the department setting forth in detail the need for operating a motor vehicle. No person may file more than one application with respect to each revocation or suspension of the person's license or operating privilege under this chapter or s. 345.47 (1) (b), 767.303, 800.09 (1) (c), 800.095 (4) (b) 4., 943.21 (3m), or 961.50, except that this limitation does not apply to an application to amend an occupational license restriction.

SB51-SA1, s. 1m Section 1m. 343.10 (5) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB51-SA1,2,7 343.10 (5) (b) Limitations. Occupational licenses are subject to the limitations specified in ss. 343.30 (1q) (b) and (h), 343.305 (8) (d) and (10) (b) and (em), 343.31 (3m), 343.32 (1m), 345.47 (1) (b), 767.303, 800.09 (1) (c), 800.095 (4) (b) 4., and 961.50.".

SB51-SA1,2,9 3. Page 2, line 11: delete " This paragraph" and substitute "This paragraph".

SB51-SA1,2,12 4. Page 2, line 13: delete " vehicle." and substitute "vehicle applies only to a judgment that was entered for a violation of an ordinance that is in conformity with state law.".

SB51-SA1,2,13 5. Page 3, line 2: delete " This" and substitute "This".

SB51-SA1,2,14 6. Page 3, line 3: delete " paragraph" and substitute "paragraph".

SB51-SA1,2,17 7. Page 3, line 4: delete " vehicle." and substitute "vehicle applies only if the forfeiture is assessed for a violation of an ordinance that is in conformity with state law.".

SB51-SA1,2,18 8. Page 3, line 8: delete " This subdivision" and substitute "This subdivision".

SB51-SA1,2,21 9. Page 3, line 10: delete " vehicle." and substitute "vehicle applies only if the forfeiture is assessed for a violation of an ordinance that is in conformity with state law.".
