220.002 (1), the department of health and family services may transfer funds between
3fiscal years under this paragraph. The department shall deposit into this
4appropriation funds it recovers under ss. 46.495 (2) (b) and 51.423 (15) from prior
5year audit adjustments including those resulting from audits of services under s.
646.26, 1993 stats., or s. 46.27. Except for amounts authorized to be carried forward
7under s. 46.45, all funds recovered under ss. 46.495 (2) (b) and 51.423 (15) and all
8funds allocated under s. 46.40 and not spent or encumbered by December 31 of each
9year shall lapse to the general fund on the succeeding January 1 unless carried
10forward to the next calendar year by the joint committee on finance.

2020.002 (1), the department of health and family services shall credit or deposit into
21this appropriation account funds for the purposes of this appropriation that the
22department transfers from the appropriation account under s. 20.435 (7) (bc). All
23funds allocated by the department but not encumbered by December 31 of each year
24lapse to the general fund on the next January 1 unless transferred to the next
25calendar year by the joint committee on finance.
