AB100-ASA1-AA1,1,3 " Section 697n. 36.27 (1) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB100-ASA1-AA1,1,10 36.27 (1) (a) Subject to pars. (am), (ar), (b) and (c), the board may establish for different classes of students differing tuition and fees incidental to enrollment in educational programs or use of facilities in the system. Except as otherwise provided in this section, the board may charge any student who is not exempted by this section a nonresident tuition. The board may establish special rates of tuition and fees for the extension and summer sessions and such other studies or courses of instruction as the board deems advisable.

AB100-ASA1-AA1, s. 697o Section 697o. 36.27 (1) (ar) of the statutes is created to read:

AB100-ASA1-AA1,2,6 36.27 (1) (ar) Notwithstanding par. (am), the board may not in any academic year increase academic fees for resident undergraduate students or tuition for nonresident undergraduate students at an institution or college campus by more than 3 percent over the amount charged in the previous academic year without either the approval of the majority of students enrolled at the institution or college campus or the approval of the student governing body of that institution or college campus.".
