ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 2005 ASSEMBLY BILL 1122

AB1122-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB1122-AA1,1,2 1. Page 1, line 1: after "Vernon" insert "and Trempealeau".

AB1122-AA1,1,4 2. Page 1, line 2: delete that line and substitute "District Attorneys and making appropriations.".

AB1122-AA1,1,5 3. Page 1, line 6: after that line insert:

AB1122-AA1,1,7 " Section 1m. 978.01 (2) (b) of the statutes, as affected by 2005 Wisconsin Act ... (this act), is amended to read:

AB1122-AA1,1,9 978.01 (2) (b) A district attorney serves on a part-time basis if his or her prosecutorial unit consists of Buffalo, Florence, or Pepin, or Trempealeau county.".

AB1122-AA1,1,10 4. Page 2, line 4: after that line insert:

AB1122-AA1,2,2 "(1m) Full-time district attorney for Trempealeau county. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of administration under section 20.475 (1) (d) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2005, the dollar amount is increased by $23,000 for fiscal year 2006-07 to increase the authorized FTE positions for the department by 0.4 GPR district attorneys.".

AB1122-AA1,2,3 5. Page 2, line 6: delete lines 6 and 7 and substitute:

AB1122-AA1,2,5 " Section 3m. Effective date. This act takes effect on January 1, 2006, or on the day after publication, whichever is later, except as follows:

AB1122-AA1,2,7 (1m) The treatment of section 978.01 (2) (b) (by Section 1m) of the statutes and Section 2 (1m) of this act take effect on January 1, 2007.".
