AB207-AA18,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB207-AA18,1,2 21. Page 5, line 21: after that line insert:
AB207-AA18,1,3 3" Section 4m. 111.397 of the statutes is created to read:
AB207-AA18,2,5 4111.397 Civil action. Except for claims that are subject to s. 111.321 or
5111.322, a person who is adversely affected by discrimination on the basis of age,
6race, creed, color, disability, marital status, sex, national origin, ancestry, arrest
7record, conviction record, membership in the national guard, state defense force or
8any reserve component of the military forces of the United States or this state, or use
9or nonuse of lawful products off the employer's premises during nonworking hours
10may bring a civil action for equitable relief, including reinstatement, or damages, or
11both. An action under this section may be commenced against the state and any
12office, department, independent agency, authority, institution, association, society,
13or other body in state government created or authorized to be created by the

1constitution or any law, including the legislature and the courts. In an action under
2this section, the court shall award reasonable attorney fees, notwithstanding s.
3814.04 (1), to a person who obtains equitable relief, damages, or both. An action
4under this section shall be commenced within one year after the cause of action
5accrues or be barred.".
