ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2005 ASSEMBLY BILL 213

AB213-ASA1-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB213-ASA1-AA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 3: after "a child" insert "and the leaving or storing of a loaded firearm within the reach or easy access of a child under 14 years of age".

AB213-ASA1-AA1,1,6 2. Page 1, line 7: after "methamphetamine" insert "and over a child under 14 years of age who obtains a loaded firearm that has been left or stored within the reach or easy access of the child".

AB213-ASA1-AA1,1,7 3. Page 2, line 8: after that line insert:

AB213-ASA1-AA1,1,8 " Section 1g. 48.02 (1) (gg) of the statutes is created to read:

AB213-ASA1-AA1,1,10 48.02 (1) (gg) Leaving or storing a loaded firearm within the reach or easy access of a child in violation of s. 948.55 (2) or (3).".

AB213-ASA1-AA1,1,11 4. Page 3, line 3: delete " or (g)," and substitute "(g), or (gg),".

AB213-ASA1-AA1,2,5 "(1m) Leaving or storing loaded firearm within reach or easy access of child. This act first applies to abuse, as defined in section 48.02 (1) (gg) of the statutes, as created by this act, that occurs on the effective date of this subsection.".
