2amendment 2, as follows:
AB627-SA1,1,3 31. Page 5, line 3: after that line insert:
AB627-SA1,1,4 4" Section 4g. 5.906 of the statutes is created to read:
AB627-SA1,1,8 55.906 Independent functional testing. Prior to approval of any electronic
6voting system components, the board shall contract with an independent testing
7authority that is approved by the federal election assistance commission standards
8board for a complete functional testing of the electronic voting system.
AB627-SA1, s. 4r 9Section 4r. 5.91 (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB627-SA1,2,5 105.91 Requisites for approval of ballots, devices and equipment. (intro.)
11No ballot, voting device, automatic tabulating equipment or related equipment and
12materials to be used in an electronic voting system may be utilized in this state
13unless it the board first receives a functional testing report concerning the system

1in which the component is used and the component
is approved by the board. The
2board may revoke its approval of any ballot, device, equipment or materials at any
3time for cause. No such ballot, voting device, automatic tabulating equipment or
4related equipment or material may be approved unless it fulfills the following
5requirements:".
