AB703-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB703-AA1,1,4 1. Page 2, line 15: after "alien" insert ", except that this section does not apply to any company that exercises due diligence in attempting to verify the illegal alien's immigration status prior to hiring the illegal alien".

AB703-AA1,1,7 2. Page 3, line 15: after "alien" insert ", except that this section does not apply to any company that exercises due diligence in attempting to verify the illegal alien's immigration status prior to hiring the illegal alien".

AB703-AA1,1,9 3. Page 4, line 1: delete "Notwithstanding" and substitute "Except as provided in par. (c), notwithstanding".

AB703-AA1,1,11 4. Page 4, line 13: delete "Any" and substitute "Except as provided in par. (c), any".

AB703-AA1,1,12 5. Page 4, line 14: after that line insert:

AB703-AA1,2,3 "(c) This subsection does not apply to any company that exercises due diligence in attempting to verify the illegal alien's immigration status prior to hiring the illegal alien.".
