ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 2005 ASSEMBLY BILL 802

AB802-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB802-AA1,1,2 1. Page 1, line 3: delete "county and municipal".

AB802-AA1,1,3 2. Page 2, line 17: after that line insert:

AB802-AA1,1,4 " Section 2m. 49.45 (6u) (ag) 3. and 4. of the statutes are created to read:

AB802-AA1,1,5 49.45 (6u) (ag) 3. "Nursing home" has the meaning given in s. 50.01 (3).

AB802-AA1,1,8 4. "State-operated nursing home" means a state center for the developmentally disabled or a Wisconsin veterans home operated by the department of veterans affairs under s. 45.50.".

AB802-AA1,1,10 3. Page 3, line 11: delete that line and substitute "department shall disburse to nursing homes, other than state-operated nursing homes, any".

AB802-AA1,1,11 4. Page 3, line 14: delete "match" and substitute "matching funds".

AB802-AA1,2,4 5. Page 3, line 15: after "received." insert "The department shall disburse funds under this paragraph to nursing homes, other than state-operated nursing homes, in proportion to the number of patient days attributed to Medical Assistance recipients in each nursing home's most recently completed fiscal year. Funds disbursed under this paragraph may only be used to reimburse costs of providing direct care to Medical Assistance recipients.".
