SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2005 SENATE BILL 175

SB175-SSA1,1,3 An Act to amend 20.866 (2) (t) of the statutes; relating to: the 2005-07 Authorized State Building Program, granting bonding authority, and making an appropriation.

This substitute amendment amends the 2005-07 Authorized State Building Program to add one project at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. The project involves the purchase and remodeling of two buildings for university housing and is financed with $5,000,000 in new program revenue supported borrowing.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SB175-SSA1, s. 1 Section 1. 20.866 (2) (t) of the statutes, as affected by 2005 Wisconsin Act 25, is amended to read:

SB175-SSA1,2,6 20.866 (2) (t) University of Wisconsin; self-amortizing facilities. From the capital improvement fund, a sum sufficient for the board of regents of the University of Wisconsin System to acquire, construct, develop, enlarge or improve university self-amortizing educational facilities and facilities to support such facilities. The state may contract public debt in an amount not to exceed $1,274,517,100 $1,279,517,100 for this purpose. Of this amount, $4,500,000 is allocated only for the University of Wisconsin-Madison indoor practice facility for athletic programs and only at the time that ownership of the facility is transferred to the state.
